Regent Message August 3, 2020:
August 13 – 6 pm – New Officer Installation Mass at Corpus Christi Church. You must wear a mask.
Dinner to follow at Tea Thyme, 2021 6th Avenue South. We will wear masks unless eating. RSVP by Monday Noon August 10 to Betty Kelly, 515-573-2512.
Dear CDA Sisters,
As you see above, our dinner venue has changed because the food committee is not able to grill/serve due to family and work commitments.
We will have New Officer Installation in Corpus Christi Church beginning at 6 pm and then travel to Tea Thyme to eat. Each member will pay for their own meal. Please RSVP to Betty Kelly for dinner as soon as possible by Monday noon next week so Debbie Lacina can begin making dinner menu plans.
I am so excited to celebrate with our new officers and to recognize and thank our outgoing officers for all they have done for Court 216. We are blessed!
I hope this email finds you all doing well. May God continue to bless all of us with good health as we begin to socialize with each other.

A PRAYER FOR PROTECTION IN TIME OF PANDEMIC
Adapted from the prayer of Pope Francis
O Mary, you always brighten our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who, at the Cross, took part in Jesus’ pain while remaining steadfast in faith. O loving Mother, you know what we need, and we are confident you will provide for us as at Cana in Galilee. Intercede for us with your Son Jesus, the Divine Physician, for those who have fallen ill, for those who are vulnerable, and for those who have died. Intercede also for those charged with protecting the health and safety of others and for those who are tending to the sick and seeking a cure. Help us, O Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who took upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows, so as to lead us, through the Cross, to the glory of the Resurrection. Amen.
Under thy protection we seek refuge, O Holy Mother of God. In our needs, despise not our petitions, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
In Unity and Charity,
Regent Christina Rosch
Spiritual Communion: My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
